How it works
Wages, benefits & billing — as the Codes require
Minimum wage or 50% rule — whichever is higher
“Wages” = Basic + DA with allowances above 50% of total remuneration added back (Code on Wages s.2(y)), never below the Central/State minimum wage. Wage slips show total wages and total allowances separately.
Bonus, overtime, gratuity
Statutory bonus 8.33%–20% on ₹7,000 or minimum wage (whichever higher), overtime at twice the rate, gratuity at 15 days’ wages per year — fixed-term employees settled every year pro rata, others after 5 years’ continuous service — with SS Form IV / V and liability report.
Employee claims
Journey allowance, conveyance, medical bills, unpaid OT or bonus and gratuity applications from the employee portal — approved claims flow into payroll.
Small establishments & labour-supply billing
Plans for units with up to 20 workers and an applicability checker for each Code. Contractors raise GST tax invoices to principal employers from the wage register.
